This two-story place has become more popular over the years due to word of mouth.

Set back from the road amongst spacious grounds, two attractive wooden buildings provide generously sized rooms overlooking the garden to the front and a large pond full of lotus flowers to the rear. The simply furnished rooms in the older building are mostly shared bathroom with hot water shower. The new building has air-con and fan rooms, all ensuite. Both buildings are immaculately clean, have polished wooden floors and fresh painted walls. A small restaurant sits in the shade near to reception providing food and drinks, book exchange and a few board games. There is a cheap laundry service, bike hire, and lockers provided for your valuables so bring a small padlock.

The homely feel of the place is further enhanced by the lady who owns Baan Lotus. She's super friendly and can't do enough to help you. The high standard here is reflected in it's popularity so be sure to book in advance. Just around the corner from the bulk of the other backpacking places, Baan Lotus certainly sets the standard in this price range.

One warning though, the place locks up by midnight so it might be difficult to get in
